Can people with HIV work? is a new report aimed at employers, highlighting
how stigma and discrimination is still rife in the workplace. The report contains
findings from recent surveys carried out by the Positive Futures Partnership,
of employers’ and employees’ perceptions of working with HIV.
Amazingly the survey found that more than 30 per cent of respondents thought
that people living with HIV could not work in the catering industry. The report
aims to prompt employers to take action before problems arise.
