With Organic Week starting on 4 September, the Pamper boys took themselves
off to Tesco in search of yummy breakfast options to boost your day. Organic
choice these days extends far beyond the odd weedy carrot and prices are only
a little more than for non-organic products. Go for cornflakes, tea, jam,
mangoes and more. You don't have to make a lifestyle change, but be warned,
organic does taste great and you may get hooked.
Our organic breakfast basket: Tesco cornflakes £1.39, six bananas 99p, six
apples 99p, Percol coffee, £2.37, Twinings tea £1.99, mango 99p, Tesco orange
juice 98p, Tesco milk 35p, Tesco jam 87p, Duchy Originals Bread £1.35. Total
£12.27.
September can bring on niggly aches and pains as the weather turns and temperatures
drops. Nectar Ease, new from New Zealand, and available in balm, capsule or
special honey, uses a remarkable combination of bee venom and Manuka honey
to achieve startling results. In recent clinical trials in New Zealand, 66
per cent of people with arthritis reported decreased pain levels and increased
mobility. This is no miracle product, but may be worth adding to your daily
pain management routine, or to your first-aid kit for those everyday mishaps.
If you suffer from allergies to bee stings or bee products, you should seek
medical advice first.
Nectar Ease capsules, 100s, £17.50, Nectar Ease honey 500g £12,
Nectar balm, 100g £17.50, available from health food stores.
