mind the innocents

positive nation

Positively Women in north London also offers crèche facilities for families attending events, whomay need child support.
Another national organisation that can help families with young children affected or infected, is CWAC (Children With Aids Charity). "We operate a small grant scheme, usually up to £250 per family, to help with hardship. Things like phone bills, respite, school uniforms," explains Leslie Naylor, CWAC's administrator. "We have a complete ethnic mix of families who come to us, but the majority are single young mums. Over 60 per cent are asylum seekers who are recommended via the social services. In the last year we have supported about 900 families."
