Positive Women Set their Agenda

"Setting our Own Agenda" was the title of a two-day conference for women with HIV held in Manchester on 15-16 October and organised by the George House Trust (GHT). About 100 women attended, most of them HIV positive.
GHT's Director Denise McDowell said: "It was an excellent conference. We took the decision to offer places preferentially to women outside London. This ensured that they came from all around the country - Ireland, Wales, Scotland, South-west England, Midlands, London, Birmingham, and Manchester as well as London.
"I think the main result will be to increase the number of women in contact with each other in a positive women's network, whether by phone, letter, or email. We are planning to host a positive women's internet newsgroup."
