positive nation

reluctance is the fear of prejudice. I myself am

somewhat open, but my daughter and I both fear that she would be bullied at school if my status became common knowledge. My biggest fear concerning the whole stigma issue is one of education. I'm not talking about educating the HIV negative, though that is important too. I'm talking about educating positive people about treatment issues so that they can make informed decisions. Recently diagnosed people are frightened of taking literature home where they can read through and digest it properly. Wouldn't it be nice to live in a world where people didn't have to hide their copy of Pos Nation under the cushions every time the doorbell rang? As for me, I wish I didn't have to wait until February to see Pos Nation on my doormat again!
