Doctor charged with herpes transmission
A South London doctor has been charged with grievous bodily harm for passing on herpes to his girlfriend. In the first case of its kind in England, the 33-year-old cancer specialist is accused of passing on a sexually transmitted disease knowing he was a carrier. The case follows a 14-month inquiry by police and the Crown Prosecution Service.
