of Nan Goldin's edgy glamour.
'Devil's Playground' is an exhibition of old and new work by Nan Goldin,
the photographer who often gets the blame for inventing 'heroin chic'.
At 18, Goldin got heavily into drugs and taking pictures of her new 'family'
and friends - the drag queens with whom she shared a flat in New York.
She has used the camera ever since to record what she calls her 'intimate
visual diary' of friends, lovers, good times, bad times.
The images in 'Devil's Playground' are thematically arranged - landscapes,
babies, sex, love. Over 300 pieces are included.
Her newer work concentrates on rural and urbanscapes. Interiors, skies,
