Undetectable

Award-winning documentary by Jay Corcoran runs the gamut of backgrounds and experiences. A white middle class housewife deals with her anger at being infected by her husband who is in denial and good health, while she fails on yet another protease inhibitor combination; a heroin-using native American searches for intimacy while fighting addiction; and a Puerto-Rican single mother nurses her own health and her affected son.
All these lives are followed over three years, and the film charts the hope and despair that can accompany life with HIV and medication. Often very moving, it certainly offers something for everyone, positive or not. JC
