Regardless of what anyone thinks, the truth of the matter is that the UK has benefited much more from immigrants than the other way round. In fact, Britain now prides itself on being a multi-cultural society. Immigrants' contribution to both cultural development and the world's wealth cannot be overestimated. Some of the richest people in this country are people from cultures still regarded by many with suspicion.
Isn't it time we started to welcome diversity in this country instead of shutting it off at the door?
