Spiky blonde rock chick, Shirley Manson - she of Garbage fame - has presented a cheque for £10,000 to the Edinburgh HIV organisation, Waverley Care, for its Art Project. Manson was delighted to be involved in the MAC Aids Fund support for Waverley Care's HIV work. At the event she told the crowd: "I see this as a perfect opportunity to put my own public profile to good

use, for a cause I feel strongly about." Our Shirl joins Elton and Mary J Blige to promote the latest lipstick in luscious Plum

Gold shade available from all MAC shops and in large department stores.
Viva Glam IV is the fourth lippy to join the range that gives all sales from proceeds to the MAC Aids Fund.
MAC cosmetics are based in Canada and this year for the first time, the Fund joins forces with the Elton John Aids Foundation and promotes its HIV fundraising activities much more prominently over here. The money raised from the gigantic worldwide fundraising efforts of MAC Cosmetics is now at $23 million. Funds get distributed to all kinds of international HIV/Aids groups, mainly until now in Canada and America.

Viva Glam IV costs £11 and is available from all MAC shops and in good department stores. Visit: www.macaidsfund.org
