speak up

Positive Nation

DICK SPLASH

These words are about the most horrible things most humans do not want to have in their heads; words about death and fear which are not easily spoken or shared.
Maybe they are difficult to address in a fine and determinedly positive periodical.
Well, I have difficulties with all sorts of things...
Like attitudes to death and disease. They're a part of life - while some may drift away on a scented cloud, if I don't choke when being spit-roasted, I hope to go out on a trail of slime - why do I care - I won't be there.
Ageing (the worst thing about ageing for me so far has been predatory youngsters). Religion (my main prayer is 'May God save us all from Religion'). Carers (carers are great, but I want a 'sharer'...well all right then, anything with a pulse). And political correctness (as you may have noticed!)
If moaning and whining were not already so commonplace, I'd say how about a 'dismal old farts' corner in the magazine. We are an endangered species!
There's more, but I'll give it a rest at this point.
