Brilliant Bournemouth...
I was concerned at the two stories in your magazine about The Royal Bournemouth Hospital. (See HIV Care in Bournemouth 'Unsatisfactory', PN 76). When I had Aids, I spent six weeks or maybe longer in the Bournemouth Royal close to death, and can do nothing but sing the praises of all the staff there. Right from the start the doctors, staff and health advisers have given me 100 per cent of their care.

...and again!
I have to take issue with Martin Skipworth, former chair of Body Positive London and David Galley, chair of Body Positive Dorset, over their allegations that HIV positive patients in the Bournemouth area are receiving substandard care. I have been attending the Panel Suite at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital for 11 years. In all that time, I have received nothing but the best care and attention - as good as, if not better than, any I received when I lived in California. The article is an unwarranted slur on a team of dedicated doctors, nurses and administrative staff who go out of their way to help their patients.
