rather than treating them as toxic dumping grounds.

Peace of mind
Whenever we are stressed, we release stress hormones that pull the plug on our self-healing power. In addition, these hormones dramatically increase the number of receptor sites on T-cell walls that the HIV virus uses to gain entry. Learning to spot the early warning signs of stress and how to manage stress more effectively is fundamental to keeping our self-healing power plugged in, and HIV shut out.
Enough energy
Our body runs on a renewable energy (Qi) that helps sustain our self-healing force. We are continually using up this energy to repair, fight infection, digest food, exercise, work, have sex, or detox. We are also continually replenishing it from food, nature, friendships, love, and spirituality. Our energy levels are a vital early warning sign of health imbalance. Western medicine has little to offer to help rebuild this energy, but many complementary therapies have this as a common goal in their treatment.
Altogether now
Put simply, our body needs us to exercise, stretch out, sleep and relax, eat healthily, manage stress effectively, and watch our energy levels. Sounds simple enough, but are we going to really do all this unless we have to? If we wait until we are quite ill, it's a bit late to come rushing in to support a failing body. This kind of additional support works best when our body's self-healing force is winning, not losing.
