The picture printed is also misleading since it shows the effect soon after the injection. This swelling lasts roughly 3-4days, after which the face returns almost to its former state.
If anyone is thinking of spending money on the treatment, I would either advise them to spend it on a good holiday or concede defeat, buy some new furniture and stay home. Frankly, I feel more depressed now than I was before!

Scottish families with HIV
Thank you for the piece on children living with a parent who is HIV positive (May 2002). The article highlighted the worries and concerns that children have and the difficulties of talking about them.
The statement attributed to Dr Cree that "There are simply no services available..." does not reflect the whole picture in Scotland. Most of the dedicated services are under threat and Waverley Care has certainly been forced to reduce its child care work, due to the reduction in statutory funding.
