now. My health is variable and I am certainly not

skiving. Do the relatively healthy workers of the Aids industry understand just how difficult it is dealing with debilitating side effects or HIV infections on minimal income? Do not discount what you have not experienced yourself, that's what I say.

Spread the safer sex message
Re 'Sex at school' (PN March). The John Andrew Swain Education Unit, based at Positive Place in south east London, also goes out into the community to bring HIV awareness and the safer sex message to the youth of London in schools and colleges. We are always looking for more volunteers. To obtain further information on becoming a volunteer, contact Positive Place on 020 8694 9988.

Well done Kenneth Kaunda
Former Zambian president Kenneth Kaunda (World News, PN May) should be a role model to all African leaders for publicly taking an HIV test. There is still a lot of ignorance and stigma directed at HIV positive people and their families. I am Namibian and have suffered at the hand of prejudice myself, and too little is being done to help infected people in Africa.
Patricia Brown, London N1
