time people seemed much more open about their status,
and the atmosphere in the PWA lounge much more relaxed.
I had planned to attend various workshops, but to be honest, the exhibitions
carried me away. There was a lot happening, lots of cries from African
non-government organisations for Aids treatment and generic drugs. The
demonstrations were endless.
I decided to join the main demo that took place outside the main building.
It was a very hot day but for me it was worth it; we had to try to make
a difference and campaign for treatment for all our brothers and sisters
and children dying with Aids in Africa.
For me as an African living in the UK and taking treatment, the campaign
does not end here.
