She shows maturity and level-headedness beyond her years. She has packed emergency bags for my frequent hospital admissions,

shopped, visited, done the housework and reassured her 10-year old brother. She does this despite being in full time education and training to be an athlete. She inspires me not to give up."

Ron is a towering figure on the Manchester HIV scene, the ex-chair of George House Trust (GHT), and a long-term survivor not only of Aids but also lupus and heart disease. Tony Harrison, current GHT chair, says: "Ron has been a champion for HIV positive people and charities. Despite the fact that he has had to give up all medication for lupus and has been told that the illness must take its course, we all still look to him for advice. He has the most wonderful combination of compassion, leadership and canny business sense."
