| HENRY
GRAHAME-SMITH Several HIV treatment activists and educators were nominated, but Henry's name stood out. Now a freelance trainer, he has worked for Positive Nation, +ve Magazine, NAM, PACE, and many other organisations, has trained innumerable professionals, patients and carers, and developed his 'legendary' on-line adherence aid, The Wheel. A nominator said: "Henry has worked continually and |

NICOLA
GRAY Nicki was nominated by Sahir House in Liverpool. Jacquie-Johnston Lynch, the Manager, says: "During her 14 years with HIV Nicki has constantly challenged the prejudice, stigma and discrimination surrounding HIV. She lost her own two year old daughter to Aids but did not let this deter her in her quest for equality. She went on national TV and told her story. She often says that acquiring HIV was a joyful moment in her life and newly diagnosed people look at her in disbelief - but once she has supported them through the first few months, they see what she means." |
