issue. Are there others out there interested in

setting up a coalition of drugs activists? The struggle to end drug prohibition is on a roll, and now is the chance to seize an opportunity. I'm thinking it's time to bring us together. So many skills exist amongst those of us who do this work, and we could be a truly co-operative coalition. Let me know what you think.

I agreed with your editorial concerning the results of the Readers Survey (PN July), especially your comment that "As a community we are too small and embattled for us to start despising each other". Our greatest strength as people with HIV is our diversity, and that should be recognised and celebrated. What we have in common is more important than what makes us different. There are few opportunities, however, for groups like ours who aim to represent all survivors, and hope to be of value to the new communities living long term with HIV. As time moves on, new diagnoses continue to rise and money becomes even more difficult to access, I fear that these 'differences' may allow funders to play one group off against the others. How can we achieve a 'united front'? Meanwhile, on behalf of the National Long Term Survivors Group, I'd like to thank you for your community advertising. We have benefited considerably. Please pass on the same thanks to the Elton John Aids Foundation.
