People aiming to lower their cholesterol should turn to honey as well as fruit and veg, scientists say.
Researchers discovered that both honey and almonds contained as many antioxidants - which combat the reactive 'free radical' molecules that damage cells - as spinach, apples, oranges or strawberries.

Aids drugs: 'there is no alternative'

African states have no option but to try to provide anti-HIV drugs for infected patients, despite the cost, insists one expert.
Speaking on the BBC World Service programme 'Health Matters,' Professor Charles Gilks, a senior adviser to the World Health Organisation (WHO), said that using drugs was the only way forward.
The WHO's own target is for three million patients worldwide on antiretrovirals by 2005.
He told the programme: "Antiretrovirals, three drug treatment, is the only thing that will really impact

on survival."
