Anthony Kwok 1954 - 2002

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anthony Kwok, who died on 5 October.
It was just two months ago that Anthony was diagnosed with a brain tumour.
Anthony worked as a health promotion officer at Health First, a division of Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham health authority, and prior to that at Body Positive in Greek Street. He was also a member of the Gay Men's Health Network, a volunteer at Aids Treatment Project (ATP) and an advisor on the National Aids Helpline.
Anthony was one of the most eloquent of the relatively few openly HIV positive workers in the health promotion world. He was greatly respected for his friendliness and integrity.

10 downing street

Manchester Aids activist Steve Barksby (pictured below, back left) joined Diane Pretty's husband Brian (centre) last month to deliver the largest ever online petition to 10 Downing Street. 51-year-old Steve, who has Aids, was one of five representatives of a nation-wide campaign by people with terminal illness organised by the Voluntary Euthanasia Society. The campaign asks MPs to support assisted dying legislation. For details, visit: www.ukActNow.org
