Crusaid: Think! Talk! Act! Give! Play Your Part This World Aids Day
This World AIDS Day pioneering HIV and AIDS charity Crusaid’s efforts will be to encourage the public to play their part in the fight against HIV and AIDS. The grant-making charity hopes to raise awareness of some of the major issues surrounding the illness with its Think! Talk! Act!
Give! campaign.
Since 1986 Crusaid has raised over £33 million to support people affected by HIV and AIDS through its various fundraising programmes. And it has continuously worked to provide knowledge & prevention, economic support, emotional support, social support and access to treatment and services to poor and marginalised people both in the UK and internationally.
“Crusaid’s World AIDS campaign gets straight to the point. The message this year is Think! Talk! Act! Give! We are encouraging people to consider the major issues around HIV and AIDS such as protecting themselves, disclosure, discrimination and donation - giving to people living with the illness worldwide that need financial help. HIV and AIDS affects people from all walks of life, this campaign is a wake up call - a call for action,” said Jordan Hay, Head of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications.
Crusaid has reached out to thousands of people affected by HIV and AIDS. The charity’s noted successes are its international flagship Points of Light projects in Southern Africa and the Crusaid Walk for Life, the largest walk for HIV and AIDS in Europe.
