Q: How do I avoid piling on the pounds at Christmas?
A: Christmas doesn't have to be a time for gaining weight if you watch what you're doing. Sitting around doesn't help. Keep the nibbles away from the area where you relax. Take a long walk after your meals to aid digestion and to burn up a few more calories. Steam your veg on christmas day rather than boiling them to death - the vitamins can help soak up the nasty "free radicals" from excess cigarettes and alcohol.
